A qualified parachutist, Harvey served with British Army Intelligence for over ten years. His experience ranges from covert surveillance in Northern Ireland to operating in Communist East Berlin during the cold war, where he feared for his life after being dragged from his car and attacked by Russian KGB soldiers. Since then he has lived a more sedate life in the private sector as a Director for an International Company, but now enjoys the pleasures of writing. Harvey is married with four children.

British Army REME – Foden Recovery

British Army REME – MAN SVR (Support Vehicle Recovery)

British Army RE – Terrier – weighs 30 tons, but can travel at a speed of 80 kph.

British Army RE – Trojan – an armoured engineer vehicle designed to open routes through complex battlefield obstacles and clear a path through minefields. A full-width mine plough can be mounted at the front.

British Army on the Move 3 – Tankfest 2016.

Another great Tankfest weekend. The star of the show for me was the Challenger 2 – ‘Megatron’.

The 65 ton Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank is one of the most formidable tanks in the world. 120mm main armament, co-axial 7.62mm chain gun and a Remote Weapon Station capable of carrying up to a 0.5 (12.7mm) calibre heavy machine gun.

Another great Tankfest weekend. Two pieces of kit used by the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) and Royal Engineers (RE)

British Army CRARRV (REME) – Challenger Armoured Repair and Recovery Vehicle (Front dozer blade, powerful winch and Atlas hydraulically operated crane.

British Army Titan (RE) – Can span 24 metre wide obstacle with a capacity of 70 tonnes. Can also be fitted with a earth moving bulldozer attachment or mine plough. It can also tow the PYTHON explosive hose to clear minefields.
